Between the eye catching paint job and the peppy engine, this car is definitely something you don't see every day. Under the pointed hood of this sweet ride is a 3.5-liter DOHC V-6 engine that runs well and provides plenty of power for this small, agile car. Although this engine only puts out around 250 horsepower, the car is quick thanks to a curb... weight under 2,900 pounds. There are few V-6 engines that sound very good, but this one sounds great! Sending the power to the rear end is a four-speed automatic transmission that shifts smooth, yet firmly through the gears to provide an engaging driving experience. Overall, the powertrain of this car feels solid and does much more with its power than one might expect. Moving inward, the driver will be greeted by a black leather interior that's pretty clean and in good condition. The seats are comfortable and provide good support for cornering and aggressive driving. In the summer time the driver will appreciate the convertible soft top that functions properly without binding. If the driver decides to keep the top up, the cabin will be kept comfortable thanks to air conditioning that blows cold. In the wintertime, the driver will appreciate the heat. This car also has convenience features including a radio/CD player, cruise control, power locks, tilt wheel, keyless entry, power mirrors, and an anti-theft system. Overall, the interior is comfortable, but can get cramped for anyone over 6'1". Moving outward, the exterior is finished in a custom two-tone burnt orange/ silver paint-job with ghosted orange flames using DuPont paint products. The pain is in decent condition with some imperfection, but nothing too major. The soft top is in good condition. The car sits atop chrome alloy wheels wrapped in rubber with decent tread life left. Please peruse all of the photos, video, and other information below to get a true sense of clean and nice this SSR really is. This Plymouth has had only one owner since new. We received the car from the original owner who purchased it in April of 2001 at Carriage Towne Chrysler Plymouth outside of Columbus, OH. He trailered the car back to his home in Cincinnati, OH and used the car very sparingly; he never even put license plates on the car. He was also very meticulous and kept the documents and items from when it was sold new. Included with the car is the original window sticker, both sets of keys and fobs, the owner's manual, books, Infinity Sound System demonstration CD, the original odometer statement showing the car had 6 miles on it at delivery, the sales receipt, and even the original temp tag and temp tag registration that was issued to him by the original dealer. The front license plate mount in also included with the car; it has never been mounted and is still in the original plastic. The original owner purchased a genuine Mopar car cover and genuine Mopar front end cover (bra) from the dealer, which also come with the car. There is copy of the Autocheck report on this car pictured in the photos. The report shows no accident history and verifies the low mileage.Exterior The Prowler Orange Pearlcoat exterior is in spectacular condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has an excellent gloss, deep shine, and smooth glass-like finish. This car has never been in any kind of accident and has never had any type of paint work. We have seen no paint lines, overspray or other signs of paintwork at all. The AutoCheck report also shows no accident history, which was confirmed by the original owner as well. The original chrome wheels are in excellent condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. There are no major imperfections that have been excluded from the photos. As one would expect from a vehicle with such low mileage the underside is very clean and this car has absolutely no rust at all. The bottom of the car is nearly as clean as the top as one can see in the many photos of the underside. The original stickers and paper tags are still on the bottom of the car, some are shown in the photos. The car looks just as great in person as it does in the photos.Interior The Agate Gray Leather interior in the Prowler looks outstanding. The seats look just as good in person as they do in the photos with no tears, rips, or excessive wear. The driver's seat is not worn in the typical spot on the bolster of the driver's seat where the driver gets in and out. The carpet also looks like new with no stains, tears, or holes. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The dash and console are in great shape with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. The door panels look excellent and both door pulls are solid and in tact. This car has not been smoked in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes what-so-ever. The excellent condition of this all original interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this Prowler has received throughout its life. The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.Mechanical This Prowler is in great mechanical condition. It is an excellent driver that feels great on the road; it runs and drives just like you would expect from a vehicle with 1,376 miles that is like new. The car starts right away every time and runs well. In the video below one can observe the car driving, accelerating, braking, and shifting through the gears. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the Plymouth performs quite well overall. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It runs cool and does not overheat. Also, the engine is clean, beautifully detailed, complete, correct, and original as one can see from the photos. Everything on this car works properly. The horn works as do the indicators, exterior lights, interior lights, wipers, and blower for the heater and a/c on all speeds. The a/c works and blows cold. All of the gauges work. Please note in the video that all of the warning lights work properly. They light up when the key is first turned on and then go off when the engine is started. There are no "check engine" or other warning lights that stay on. This Prowler has plenty of power and handles great. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this vehicle, especially with the top down on a beautiful day. This Prowler runs and drives as well as it looks.Overall Condition Overall, this Plymouth Prowler is in excellent condition and a great value at our asking price. The market on Prowlers is very strong right now, especially for correct, original, and extremely low mileage examples like this one.
